Setup & Usage Guidelines

Setup Basics

The Grand Entrance kit consists of one runner and six stanchion posts.

  • Level Surface: Lay the 3.3x10 ft red carpet on a flat, dry surface. Use double-sided carpet tape on the undersides of the edges if used outdoors or on slippery floors to prevent tripping.
  • Base Stability: Before assembly, fill the heavy-duty bases with water or sand to ensure they remain upright if guests lean on the velvet ropes.
  • Post Placement: Space the 37.4in gold stanchion posts evenly along the sides of the carpet. A standard 10ft carpet typically uses 3 posts per side (spaced roughly 4-5 feet apart).
  • Rope Attachment:Clip the red velvet ropes to the rings at the top of the posts. Ensure the ropes have a slight "swag" or curve; they should not be pulled completely taut.

USE & MAINTENANCE

  • Crowd Control: Direct guests to walk strictly between the ropes to protect exhibits or maintain an orderly queue.
  • Cleaning: Keep the velvet ropes dry. If the carpet gets dirty, a light vacuum or soft brush will restore the plush "red carpet" look.
  • Weather: While the fillable bases are stable, it is recommended to move the set indoors during high-wind events or heavy rain.

  • The L-Shape:Arrange the stanchions in an "L" shape to guide guests around a corner into a photo area.
  • The V-Opening:Angle the first two stanchions slightly outward at the start of the carpet to create a "widening" effect that welcomes guests in.
  • The Spotlight:Place battery-operated LED uplights at the base of the gold posts to make the polished finish and velvet ropes glow at night.
